Walking with God

I find consistency and patterning are important to long-term success. As I've been recovering from illness, my mornings have not been the same and I've adapted by trying to work in scripture study at other points in the day. I'd been enjoying starting my day with listening to scripture and ending my day with reading the sacred word, but right now I've adapted to listening at different points in the day. Today that was a walk around the block listening to scripture following dinner. I ended up listening to the tale-end of Mosiah 7 and beginning of Mosiah 8 during this walk.

These verses stood out to me today:

15 And the king said that a seer is greater than a prophet.

16 And Ammon said that a seer is a revelator and a prophet also; and a gift which is greater can no man have, except he should possess the power of God, which no man can; yet a man may have great power given him from God.

17 But a seer can know of things which are past, and also of things which are to come, and by them shall all things be revealed, or, rather, shall secret things be made manifest, and hidden things shall come to light, and things which are not known shall be made known by them, and also things shall be made known by them which otherwise could not be known.

18 Thus God has provided a means that man, through faith, might work mighty miracles; therefore he becometh a great benefit to his fellow beings.

As for exercise, clearly I went for a brief walk in the evening, but also did push-ups to start the day - one set of around 35 I think.

Walking and pondering and praying is something that I like to do. I have had a cassette Walkman a portable CD player and now a phone for scriptures. I soaked up over an hour of the Book of Acts this morning.
