Were it expedient we could prophesy of all things

Today while listening to scriptures this remark in the title stood out for me. It was part of the consensus reply given by the Nephites and people of Zarahemla following King Benjamin's remarks. I think it shows a great strength of faith above and beyond simply a willingness to follow, or loss of desire for sin, but a trust that the Lord can work through them. I will be working to build my trust that the Lord can work through me.

Be strong!

Expedient. If it were expedient. That’s a great point. So I’m believing that as a person tries to soak up the words of Christ and live the commandments like the sacrament prayers promise we can have his spirit to always be with us. That is encouraging. So when it is expedient the help will be there. I think of Captain Moroni who had a perfect understanding. When the Lamanites attacked the city of Noah they expected it to be weak but because of Moroni’s preparations it was strong. I have thought about this a lot lately.
