In the strength of the Lord

In Words of Mormon 1:14 we learn that, "in the strength of the Lord they did contend against their enemies, until they had slain... (and) driven them out of all the lands of their inheritance."

This has me thinking of how the accuser is our common enemy and wishes to have us separated from returning to the land of our inheritance. In the strength of the Lord we can overcome temptations and slay these enemy actions in our lives and drive the very thoughts from our minds. Whether it be learning to control temper and the tongue, or taming appetites of the flesh, with the help of Jesus Christ's healing through the atonement, example, and guidance we can be free like the Nephites at this point in their history.

I had a great back and biceps workout today with quick rest-pause sets of pull-ups, biceps curls, and back flyes.

Be Strong!

They were inspired by a better cause. They were fighting for their families, freedom, and right to worship. This has made me think that first thing every day I should ask for the strength of the Lord because every day we are in battle. Every job we do we should do as if we are doing it for the Lord.(There’s a scripture for that. I just don’t remember it at the moment. My wife had us in the habit of putting on the armour of God every day from Ephesians chapter six. I will do that with her right now. She also likes going over Psalm 91 often. That is also about the strength of the Lord.
