Progress Update
I'm slowly and steadily making progress. My biggest short-fall has been running off to get me day started and remembering to take to knees for my morning prayer. Years of telling myself I don't have time in the morning and being complacent is taking some time to undo, but by reporting on it, I at least get a second reminder to do so. Scriptures morning and night has been great and nightly prayers have always been easier. Morning workouts and mini workouts sprinkled into the day have also been lovely. This morning I had 3x20 squats to do with 30-seconds rest between and 40-pounds in my hands. It doesn't sound like much, but it's progress toward a habit that is becoming more and more deeply established and it's sufficient to leave me winded and increasing in capacity.
Remembering the source of our strength
As I just mentioned above, my own complacency in not having a kneeling prayer each morning needs to be overcome, and I'm thankful that with the Lord teaching about the power of small and simple things that I'm breaking this pattern and building a better one. Without keeping that life-line of frequent and meaningful communication with Heaven, I risk falling prey to the same fate the Nephites met at the end of the Book of Mormon. In Mormon Chapter three we read of how after beating back their enemies a few times over the course of a few years that the people began to boast in their own strength and would not give thanks to God for their deliverance or turn their hearts to him any more. From that time on, they would not repent and it spelled the beginning of the end. Left to their own strength they were outnumbered and overpowered. While I'm clearly a believer in putting in our own work as if being prepared physically for challenges relies upon each of us, I fully acknowledge that each opportunity to strengthen the body is a gift from above for the health, time, peace, and freedom to do so. And each time our bodies adapt to the exercise and get stronger we are being blessed with regenerative capacity to build back stronger. For this, I give thanks.
Be strong!

Section 59:21 I think talks about this. It’s important to give credit to the Lord. I think Moses had a problem with this, “Do I have to get water for you?” I did 500 push ups from the knees today. I was about to stop at 250 but then I read your blog. I hope this sends . I keep getting red words to try again. Strength and Honour
It sent for sure. I'm hoping to make some time to do some improvements on the website here in the next while. But I'm generally working every day of the week except the Sabbath, and even though it's a faith-promoting site, I feel like I should keep work on the site to a minimum on the Lord's day.
Super work with those push-ups. I'm glad reading the blog helped inspire you on.
