The struggle is real

This morning I have a headache from ongoing Holiday sleep-deprivation. The idea of doing push-ups in this state made me want to skip and wait for another day when I'm feeling better and I was worried the push-ups might aggravate my headache (they did a little) but I was able to tell myself it's only two minutes and get it done.

Then listening to scriptures I was gathering small snippets of interest, but failing to form a clear thought to share. I heard a bit about Teancum continually preparing for battle in his part of the land by building up banks of earth and places of resort while waiting for Moroni to send more men. I felt there was something here to learn about not waiting idly, but always preparing. I heard Moroni requesting Teancum do what he can to hold everything in the territory and see what he could do with strategies to take back lost territory. It had me thinking about reinforcing ourselves again against temptations that might be in a position to overtake us and fighting back to overcome self-defeating behaviors that have taken us by whatever strategy necessary.
