Willing to submit

Personal Accountability

I am keeping up with small and simple steps of daily scripture study, kneeling prayer, and workouts. Today's workout had pull-ups at the base with biceps curls and backflyes for added targeting to those sections of the back and arms. I am likely ready to raise my standards in what is considered a valid effort, or adding to the things I do.

Thought Sharing

Last night as I read to my girls we passed over this scripture:

Mos. 3:

19 For the natural man is an enemy to God, and has been from the fall of Adam, and will be, forever and ever, unless he yields to the enticings of the Holy Spirit, and putteth off the natural man and becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and becometh as a childsubmissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him, even as a child doth submit to his father.

The part that really hit me was being willing to submit to all things the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon me - even as the Lord submitted to His Father in all things. Far too often I find myself wanting to change course or thinking that the trials in life mean I have fallen out of favor with the lord or made poor decisions and my natural reaction is to want to run away from the trials. To throw off the natural man, I will work on doing better at willingly submitting to trials and coming through in the end as a friend of God, not an enemy.

Be strong!
