Accountability
Whew, I felt that workout this morning! I elevated my push-ups a touch so that I was doing them with my hands in my Powerblock dumbbells which created some extra chest stretch at the bottom and man did that make a difference in how much I felt my chest working. I could only get 33 reps in that first set as opposed to my usual 40+. My legs are also still killing me from the split squats I did on Wednesday, but it feels good to have reminders through the day that I'm working on bettering myself and if I choose to let it, it can remind me to stay the course with other things as well - kind of like when I'm fasting and hunger and thirst cues remind me to pray for what I'm fasting about through the day, delayed onset muscles soreness can act to remind me to make better food choices and even refocus my thoughts on that which is right and invites the spirit.
Pondering
As I'm still getting through Isaiah content in 2 Nephi as I clean in the mornings, I was hearing the verse about the axe boasting itself against him that heweth therewith or the saw magnifying itself above him that shaketh it. Just a reminder that in the end the things we accomplish are only because God empowered us with the right conditions to allow such to take place and raising ourselves up in pride is failing to recognize our insignificance (while also accepting supreme potential).
Be strong!

Right, Once again I come back to Alma 26 and Ammon who does not boast in his own strength but boasts of the blessings of God. That’s one of my favourite chapters. I need to do some research but it seems the Assyrian king has been blessed with military success and fancies himself a great king but he had only been a tool in God’s hands. Tools in the tool shed just wait without any thought until used by someone. A baseball bat used by Babe Ruth is just a baseball bat. Mind you it could be a top quality baseball bat. The violin could be top quality or so so but the touch of the Master’s hand can work wonders. The Master first has to get the violin in tune. Yes, like Ammon says, the glory goes to God.
