Accountability
Going strong. I did have a disruption to my evening schedule that left me missing my evening scripture reading last night. I'll have to do better, if I can justify it to some extent. Morning prayers are getting stronger and daily exercise in small bursts is seeming reasonably locked in. Today was more pull ups, a set of 10, followed by a set of 9 +1, and then 6+3+1 with less than 20 seconds of rest between additions within a batch of ten. between sets I did cycling sprints and back extensions. This has me on the right schedule for these as last week I made some adjustments in the week that weren't perfectly scheduled for my routine.
Focus
This morning while unloading the dishwasher instead of listening to scripture I listened to music focused on the Saviour as part of trying to make Holy Week observance more Christ-centered. My girls were up and I figured trying to sprinkle in some "Easter music" for setting the ambience of the home would be more powerful than my usual scripture listen. In the past I've sought out traditional Easter music that has often sounded somewhere between a Gregorian chant and a funeral dirge, and I'm just not convinced I can get my family on board with those sounds for celebrating the Resurrection of Christ and honouring this severe trial he faced in his final week of mortality. I instead have created a playlist using more contemporary sounds and listened to songs like, "Gethsemane", "Oh it is wonderful", "Beautiful Saviour", "I stand all amazed" and so on while working through morning routine items. I like the feel.
Be strong!

Gethsemane, I’ve never heard that one. I Heard Him Come, Jesus was no Ordinary Man, and a couple more by Afterglow that I need to look up again are great for reverent reflection. Thanks for the reminder I’ll look some Easter songs up to get a better focus. I have even found some old songs like I’ll be There reach out to me and I will Follow Him are helpful I just put the Lord into my interpretation. Lean On Me by Bill Withers is one I apply to the Lord and just generally the Lords teachings on love one another. I get a lot of value out of that one.
